Roasted Chickpeas with 3 Flavorful Spice Blends

 


 

๐ŸŒฐ๐Ÿ”ฅ Crispy, crunchy, and irresistibly seasoned — roasted chickpeas make the perfect protein-rich snack or salad topper!

Ingredients

๐ŸŒฑ Serves 4 as a snack

  • 1 ½ cups cooked chickpeas (or 1 can, rinsed and well-drained)

  • 1 tbsp olive oil

  • Salt, to taste

Instructions

๐Ÿฅ„ Total time: 35–40 minutes

  1. Preheat oven:
    Preheat oven to 200°C (400°F) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

  2. Dry the chickpeas:
    Pat chickpeas dry with a clean towel — this helps them crisp up.

  3. Toss with oil and bake:
    Place chickpeas in a bowl, toss with olive oil and a pinch of salt. Spread evenly on the baking sheet. Roast for 25–30 minutes, shaking halfway through.

  4. Season while hot:
    Remove from oven and immediately toss with your spice blend of choice while still warm.

1. Mediterranean Spice Blend ๐ŸŒฟ

  • ½ tsp dried oregano

  • ½ tsp garlic powder

  • ¼ tsp smoked paprika

  • Pinch of black pepper

2. Curry Blend ๐ŸŒถ️

  • ½ tsp curry powder

  • ¼ tsp turmeric

  • Pinch of ground cumin

  • Dash of cayenne (optional)

3. Sweet & Spicy Blend ๐Ÿฏ๐ŸŒถ️

  • ¼ tsp cinnamon

  • ¼ tsp smoked paprika

  • ½ tsp coconut sugar or maple sugar

  • Pinch of cayenne or chili powder

Tip : You can double or triple the blends and keep them in a small jar for easy future use!
